  • There are new rules for accruing pension.
  • These rules are in the Future of Pensions Act.
  • See what you can expect from us on this page.

Nederlandse versie

Everyone who accrues pension in the Netherlands through their employer will do so with an investment pension. Your employer will decide at what point to make the switch to the new rules. This should be no later than 1 January 2028. After your employer has coordinated its choices for your pension scheme with us, we will get to work for you.

Please note!
Has your employer opted for a switch with 'transition right' for the participants in the existing pension scheme? Then the information on this page does not apply to you.

How and when will you receive information about your new pension

Our communication plan tells you how we will take you through the transition to the new rules for your pension at Nationale-Nederlanden. The plan that applies to you depends on the type of pension scheme you currently have. This is stated in the announcement or check your Pension 1-2-3.

How do we ensure correct implementation of the new pension

In our implementation plan, we show that we as Nationale-Nederlanden are well prepared for the new law and that your pension is still in good hands with us. The plan also tells you how we will handle your accrued pension entitlements and your pension rights.

What pension choices did your employer make and why

Before switching to the new pension, your employer has made choices. Calculations have also been made in advance so that the consequences for the pensions of you and your colleagues are clear. Your employer has incorporated the choices and calculations in a 'transition plan'. For questions about this plan, you can contact your employer and/or their adviser.
